Business Principles

Business Principles

The commitments that hold true at every stage of our work — the values behind how we design, source, make and sell. They keep every decision, in every part of the business, pointing the same way.

Principle 01

Integrity & Ethics

Doing what is right, even when it is not the easiest path.

Trust is earned in the small decisions as much as the large ones. We hold ourselves to honest, transparent and fair conduct in every relationship — with our people, our suppliers, our partners and our customers.

That means clear commitments and keeping them, fair dealing across every market we work in, and a refusal to trade our standards for short-term gain. Where we fall short, we own it and we put it right.

What this looks like
  • Honest communication — we say what we mean and we mean what we say.
  • Fair dealing with every supplier and partner in our value chain.
  • Accountability for our commitments, at every level of the company.
Principle 02

Quality Without Compromise

Every product carries our name — so it carries our standards.

We build our collections from the best materials — written batik, hand-stamped batik, leather and wood — and we hold to exacting standards at every stage, from the first sketch to the finished piece on the shelf.

Quality is not a final inspection; it is a discipline woven through design, sourcing, manufacturing and logistics. Short production runs and close attention to detail let us keep that standard consistent, no matter how quickly our stores are refreshed.

If it does not meet the standard we would want for ourselves, it does not carry our name.

Principle 03

Sustainability

Sourcing responsibly and closing the loop, so nothing goes to waste.

We want to add value to the world by creating beautiful, ethical and high-quality goods that have a full life cycle. Our sourcing follows the most stringent social, environmental and health-and-safety standards, and we are always seeking cleaner, more efficient ways to turn raw materials into finished garments.

We are closing the loop to create a life cycle in which resources are used efficiently and nothing goes to waste — moving towards a circular economic model. Through our traceability systems, we know exactly how our products are made and where they come from.

Our commitments
  • Responsible sourcing of raw materials across every market.
  • Full traceability — knowing how and where every product is made.
  • A circular model that uses resources efficiently and reduces waste.
Principle 04

Respect for People

Our people are the driving force between everything we build.

Behind every collection are the people who design, make and sell it. We are committed to developing, protecting and empowering them — because excellent people are what turn structure and process into results our customers can rely on.

That means a safe and fair workplace, genuine investment in training and growth, and a culture where everyone is treated with dignity. Every morning in every store, our teams talk through how they can serve customers better — and comprehensive training programmes back them up.

It is our people, at the centre, who turn structure into results.

Principle 05

Customer at the Centre

Everything we do begins and ends with the customer.

We place the customer at the very centre of our business model. Knowing and delivering exactly what our customers want — no matter where they are — demands meticulous organisation, close attention to detail and industry-leading innovation across every part of our value chain.

Listening to feedback, making short production runs and investing in state-of-the-art logistics allows us to pinpoint and meet customer needs, refreshing our stores and online platforms with new styles regularly. Whether we are designing, manufacturing or distributing, we are always asking how we can improve the customer experience.

Principle 06

Continuous Improvement

A process of constant self-examination — never finished.

We believe even the smallest changes in our supply chain can make a big difference. In a process of constant self-examination and improvement, we are always looking to do more — pairing consistent standards with the discipline to keep raising them.

We know the challenges are difficult to overstate, so we treat cooperation with the main stakeholders of the textile industry as vital to reaching shared goals. Standardisation and improvement go hand in hand: steady where it matters, better wherever it can be.
